This Safari will bring you close to Uganda exclusive primates and apes most of the outstanding being Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees with amazing Wildlife viewing and communities.
Day 1: - Arrival
You will be welcomed by a representative of Elikya Tours whom you will find at the Airport holding a post with your name on it. He will then transfer you to Maries Royal Hotel for relaxation. Your driver guide will be on stand by just in case you need to visit a café, or any place for dinner or a drink depending on your time of arrival.
Day 2: - Transfer to Murchison falls
Our driver guide picks you up and proceed northwest through Bombo road to Murchison Falls National Park. With a stopover for Rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary and lunch at Kabalega Dinner depending on time. Upon arrival inside the park, you will be amazed by the beautiful landscape while occasionally sighting warthogs a chance to see more animals as we proceed to your lodge for Relaxation.

Day 3: - Murchison Falls National Park
After your early morning breakfast, our driver guide picks you up for the early game drive. Explore the major game trails especially around the area of Paraa for good game spotting including lots of Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Antelopes, Jackals, Hyenas, Uganda kobs, Waterbucks, Jackson's Hartebeests and hopefully the elusive Leopards among others.
Later on, you return back to the lodge for your lunch and some relaxation for an indefinitely short time. Later we set out for the afternoon Boat Ride on the Victoria Nile which is the high spot of any Murchison Falls Safari for you get to spot lots of animals at a close encounter. You will have to spot lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, Elephants, Buffaloes, and many other animals that come to drink water, refresh and cool themselves off the scorching sun and some animals to eat the fresh grass along the river banks.

Day 4: - Top of the Falls - Transfer to Fort Portal
After breakfast we checkout and head to Fort Portal. With a drive to the top of the falls before exiting Murchson falls whose views are breathe taking. About 300 - 400 cubic meters per second of Nile water force through a tiny gorge of about 7 meters to plunge into a violent tempest in a whirlpool about 42 meters below. It is such a beautiful sight with incredible picture moments here.
The drive is 6hrs but will provide you with some stunning views as you pass small African villages and banana plantations. The town of Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon and is famous for the many tea plantations and the cool weather. You shall have time in the evening to walk through this beautiful town with the guide. Dinner and overnight at the Mountains of the moon Hotel.
Day 5: - Transfer to Semlik National Park
After breakfast we shall checkout with our packed lunch and drive to Semliki National Park. The scenic, winding road will lead us through green mountains and offers you a magnificent view at the River Semliki and Congo. After arriving in the protected area, a ranger will accompany us on a beautiful walk through the forest. Enjoy the peacefulness of the forest, look out for the rich birdlife at the swamp and the hot springs, we will have our lunch and drive back to Fort Portal. We shall stop to see Amabeere Caves and the three surrounding Explosion Crater Lakes along the way which will make our visit to the area a most interesting half day adventure.

Day 6: - Chimpanzee tracking – Transfer to Kasese
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp trekking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black and white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another totally different nature walk. The Bigodi swamp walk is an initiative of the local community and takes approximately two hours. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of Birds and primates.

Day 7: - Start Of The Equator Glaciers Tour
Early in the morning transfer to Nyakalengijo (1646 meters) where you will start your climb into the mountains. The hike takes you along the Mubuku river and through thick equatorial vegetation before arriving at the Nyabitaba hut (2650 meters). You might hear chimpanzees or see blue monkeys. Dinner and overnight in Nyabitaba hut. Total hiking time: 5-7 hours Ascent: 1200 meters
Day 8 : - John Matte Hut
After early breakfast you will start the hike through the Kurt Sharfer Bridge to marvel at the sparkling Mubuku river confluence. In the afternoon you will reach the Nyamuleju hut from where you might enjoy a nice view at Mount Stanley and Speke. Climb through the open patches, lobelia, and heath moss forest when proceeding up to the John Matte hut (3415 meters) for overnight. Total hiking time: 7 hours Ascent: 915 meters
Day 9 : - Bujuku Hut
Depart early through the giant Lobelias and heath trees. You ascend to the Bigo Bog and scenic landscape of lobelias and giant groundsels. You will pass lake Bujuku, majestically settled between the famous mountains. Continue to a rock shelter called Cooking Pot and soon you will arrive at your final stop for today. Dinner and overnight at the Bujuku Hut (3960 meters). Total hiking time: 3-5 hours
Ascent: 560 meters
Day 10 : - Elena Hut
Head off from the valley with scenic alpine vegetation consisting Giant Groundsels and Lobelia and continue to ascend Mount Victoria and Mount Speke at 4890 meters. Depart through the lovely views of the Savoia and Elena glaciers, scale further through to the Scott Elliott pass and proceed through the snow to the Elena Hut (4560 meters) for overnight rest. The Elena Hut will be your base for the final conquer of the Rwenzori Mountains.Total hiking time: 3-5 hours
Ascent: 470 meters
Day 11 : - Final Ascent To The Alps Of Africa
Early morning ascent to the snowy Alexander peak (5092 meters) and then onwards to the highest peak at 5109 meters, the famous Margherita! Thereafter we directly descend to the beautiful lake Kitandara for overnight stay at Kitandara hut (4020 meters). Total hiking time: 3-5 hours Ascent: 670 meters – Descent: 1090 meters
Day 12 : - Guy Yeoman Hut
After early breakfast a long descent begins. First we climb from Lake Kitandara to the Freshfield Pass from where you can look into the neighbouring country Congo. We will have a picnic lunch on the way and continue our journey while descending to the Guy Yeoman hut (3260 meters) for dinner and overnight.
Total hiking time: 5-7 hours Descent: 1000 meters
Day 13 : - Nyabitaba Hut
The last part of the hike! Drop very steeply along the Mubuku river and join the original route near the Bujuku river. Dinner and overnight at Nyabitaba Hut (2650 meters). Total hiking time: 5-7 hours
Descent: 600 meters
Day 14: - Transfer from Rwenzori to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, check out and depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes us via the slopes of the Rwenzori’s and slopes down south wards to Mweya Safari Lodge. We take an afternoon launch boat cruise on Kazinga Channel, a place believed to host the largest concentration of Hippopotamus in Africa. Also seen are buffalo, African Elephants, kob, the occasional Nile crocodile and a spectacular bird viewing opportunity. Dinner and overnight at Baboon Safari Resort. (Cottage)
Day 15: - Tree Climbing Lions of Ishasha
After breakfast, We will have an early morning game drive and depart to the southern sector of the park, called Ishasha and known for the tree-climbing lions. It is likely that you may have time to spot for some wildlife like Tree climbing Lions, Black and white colobus monkeys, kobs and topies, waterbucks and warthogs or just drive to your lodge and embark on the game drive in the evening.

Day 16: - Ishasha Sector – Bwindi Forest National Park
After breakfast you shall start your morning game drive in Ishasha sector to increase on your chance for tree climbing lions. Ishasha is known for tree climbing lions and the chance of seeing them climbing fig trees depends on your luck of the day. You may also drive to River Ishasha to see the Border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo then embark on journey to Bwindi.

Day 17: - Gorilla Trekking – Lake Bunyonyi
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the gorilla trekking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike, it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play, pass by your side and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. Remember to carry your socks, gloves and long pants.

Day 18: - Transfer to Lake Mburo
Have breakfast and set off to Lake Mburo NP. Drive past the intensely terraced Kigezi hill slopes into Mbarara town and finally Lake Mburo NP. Arrive in the park in the early afternoon and take some rest before proceeding out for the late afternoon (evening) game viewing. On the game drive, expect to see the gigantic eland antelopes, zebras in big numbers, topis, impalas, warthogs, Uganda kob and Cape buffalos among others. Later, relax at the accommodation where you will spend the night.
Optional: In case you’re interested, you may go out for the breathtaking Mburo night game drive. During the night game drive, expect to sight nocturnal creatures including huge snakes, python, hyena, owls and the elusive leopard (on a lucky day) among others. However, the cost for the night game drive is excluded and payable on the ground (as may be specified).

Day 19: - Lake Mburo National Park Kampala Jinja through Kampala
Enjoy your early breakfast and proceed for the Mburo morning park/nature walk in the presence of an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger/guide. On this early morning guided walk, you often encounter hyenas that are returning to their dens after a night of being on the prowl. Also, you will have the opportunity to encounter (at close range): Zebras, Giraffes and Eland, Topi and other antelopes, Cape buffaloes among others.
Take the Trail to the top of the hills and see Lake Mburo and beyond. From this vantage point, you will have a great view of 9 of the twelve lakes surrounding Lake Mburo NP. Thereafter, return to the accommodation for checkout and then hit the road to Kampala.

Day 20: - Visit the Source of the Nile
After your breakfast in your hotel/ residence, your safari guide will meet you and start a drive to the source of the Nile just close to Jinja town taking a boat to the source of the Nile. This activity will end with lunch in Kampala.
You will also visit the interesting and historical sites, including Uganda Museum and of course the African Crafts Village Shopping Centre, have your lunch and later drive to Entebbe Ariport for your evening flight.
